Apologies for not replying until now. I've have been away in Abergavenny
with Helen and am off again tomorrow. Apologies, too, for not getting in
touch to say a very appreciative thank you for that quite superb
photographic portrait of the Castle Meadows captured in all their summer
splendour. Quite honestly, you could not have offered us a better work of
art. we are both thrilled by it. The multi-coloured foreground suggestive of
wild flowers is just like a piece of French Impressionism ! Our friends too,
have been so impressed by it. And of course, I had no idea of the lengths
you went to capture the morning light and utter stillness. John told me
you photographed it at 5.30am ! That means you must have got up at about
4am! Some dedication that, Philip! We are bowled over by it! It is
magnificent! I am so glad I made that initial phone call to you some month ago.
Hope we'll meet up sometime.

Received the mounted print of the Brecon Beacons yesterday, as promised.
It is a beautiful and vibrant image that shows great attention to detail, both in its composition and in the final printing and mounting.
This is a gift that I'm sure will be much appreciated by my nephew who knows the chosen landscape well.
As suggested, I will be strongly advising him that it is hung out of direct sunlight so that it can enjoyed for years to come by all who see it.

Have you used Photoshop or a H.D.R. program on any of your images, or are you a purist ?
I'm teaching Photoshop part time in Gorseinon College at the moment, and I?ve just started to dabble with a H.D.R. program call Photomatix.
I?ve got some of my images up on Flikr, but I?m thinking of setting up a Website when I get time. Would you recommend Clikpic ?
